Terms and Conditions for Christchurch Instrument Hire

Welcome to Christchurch Instrument Hire. By hiring an instrument from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Condition of the Instrument

The instrument must be returned in a similar condition to when it was hired.

Normal wear and tear are acceptable, but damage beyond this may incur repair costs.

2. Personal Use Only

The instrument is for the exclusive use of the hirer.

Subleasing, loaning, or allowing others to use the instrument is not permitted.

3. Prohibition on Sale

The instrument remains the property of Christchurch Instrument Hire and must not be sold, pawned, or used as collateral.

4. Payments

All payments must be made via credit card through our secure payment platform.

Failure to make timely payments may result in termination of your hire agreement.

5. Repairs

Hirers are not permitted to make repairs to the instrument except for string replacements.

Any damage requiring repairs beyond string changes must be reported to Christchurch Instrument Hire immediately. We will arrange all necessary repairs.

6. Return of the Instrument

Instruments must be returned on the Saturday following the end of your agreement unless otherwise arranged.

Please email us to arrange delivery or return. Returns typically occur on Saturdays.

Late returns may incur additional fees.

7. Liability for Damage or Loss

The hirer is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the instrument during the hire period.

Repair or replacement costs may be charged where applicable.

8. Early Termination of Agreement

If you wish to terminate your agreement early, please notify us at least 7 days in advance.

Early termination will incur a $30 fee.

No refunds are provided for unused hire periods.

9. Inspection Upon Return

All instruments will be inspected upon return.

If the instrument requires cleaning or repairs beyond normal wear and tear, cleaning or repair fees may apply.
